Oh, Lust!
Several years ago a close friend of mine told me:
I am starving for love!
This is how our love story began. A consuming passions between two souls longing for love. At that time his words aesthetically, served ‘extra hot’ in the early hours of the night seemed appetizing. Today I still remember their bitter taste, which I tasted without even thinking about what would cost me to sit on a table with a soul longing for love. Turning tables, suddenly, I was the one being “hungry”.
With a smile, I recall these times from a future past, because the likelihood of this happening today is great.
Driven by the insatiable feeling for love, success, wealth … physical closeness and much more, we become Masters of our emotional cuisine, where we invite everyone who could enrich our lives. No, it’s not a crime. It’s normal. It’s human. Some of us just know what they want and how to accomplish it. Others, still looking for themselves, are spiritually and physically committed to themselves. Only through experience can we get the necessary skills and learn the lessons.
One thing is important – to be honest with ourselves and the rest around us. Hunger is ruthless. Eternal. Unable to overcome. That’s why, as predators, every day, we chase our goals, drowning only temporarily their thirst and appetite for whatever they want.
